here’s a few extra things you can do when you visit caloundra for Horizon festival.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are a few events in Caloundra this year. There’s The S<\/em>inkers<\/a>, Open Air: Cloe Terare<\/a>, and the Sunshine Coast Art Prize<\/a>. So, to make your trip worth it, we asked local photographer (and Tour Guide) Tim Birch to show us around his hometown. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here’s how Tim would spend the day in Caloundra. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sub Tropic Studio<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Such a nice cool place to call \u2018work\u2019. Great creative community and is a place I can really hone in on my personal projects. If you’re ever in town on the Friday that Good Chats<\/em> occurs, this is definitely worth checking out. It’s a monthly meet-up where a couple of creatives tell their creative story. There’s also free coffee from Slide Coffee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you need a coffee when you’re in town, be sure to try Slide. Super friendly crew and masters of specialty coffee. I\u2019ll be there daily for meetings, batch brews and the odd cookie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beach Beat \/ Unkle Hingys Barber Shop<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There aren\u2019t many places you can get a haircut and walk out with a new surf board in the one go but I\u2019ve done it a few times here. There is a board for everyone in there and Unkle Hingy is great at what he does with the snips. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Angry Bakers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A<\/em>ward winning pies. Try the chicken curry pie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know I just had a pie. But if you feel like something a little healthier, Raw + Rice is the spot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

King\u2019s Beach<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is a great beach to come to if you’re looking to kill a little time. I\u2019ve been surfing here since I was a kid. So many great memories and always a little wave about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

King\u2019s Beach<\/strong> bar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The closest post-surf hydration bar to the ocean who have a epic food menu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
